Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate veterinary team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality animal care, assist veterinarians during procedures, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our animal patients. Your expertise in animal handling, medical procedures, and client communication will help us deliver exceptional veterinary services. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgeries, diagnostics, and treatments using veterinary anesthesia monitoring and aseptic techniques Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety during examinations and procedures Conduct laboratory work such as phlebotomy, diagnostic radiology, and veterinary laboratory tests to support accurate diagnoses Manage animal husbandry tasks including feeding, grooming, pet care, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas Administer medications, IV insertions, animal catheterizations, and monitor critical & intensive care patients with attention to detail Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, radiology diagnostics tools, and other veterinary surgical instruments Support client communication by explaining procedures, providing pet care advice, and updating owners on their animals' health status Skills Proven kennel experience with the ability to handle multiple animals comfortably and confidently Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary surgical assistance techniques Experience with dental terminology, dental procedures, and pet grooming is a plus Skilled in anesthesiology practices including general anesthesia administration and monitoring anesthesia depth during surgeries Proficient in laboratory techniques such as phlebotomy, blood sample processing, and diagnostic radiology imaging (X-ray) Ability to perform dog training and animal restraint effectively while ensuring safety for animals and staff Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; familiarity with veterinary software is preferred Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional pet care through skillful veterinary technology. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
