Veterinary Specialty Center of Sturbridge is looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician with a strong interest in surgery and urgent care to join our team! With a new surgeon joining our Urgent Care department, we're looking for someone who enjoys surgery, is comfortable with anesthesia, and is excited to help us grow this part of our hospital. This position will primarily involve working alongside our Urgent Care surgeon, assisting with surgical procedures, anesthesia, and patient care. When surgery isn't scheduled, you'll also help with urgent care cases and work alongside the rest of our UC team.

What the position involves:

Preparing patients and surgical suites for procedures Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Assisting with routine and urgent surgical procedures, including dentals, mass removals, spays/neuters, and urgent surgeries Providing pre- and postoperative patient care Assisting with urgent care appointments, treatments, and diagnostics as needed Maintaining accurate medical records Working closely with our doctors and technicians to keep the day running smoothly What we're looking for: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) Experience with anesthesia and surgical procedures preferred Strong interest in surgery and urgent care medicine Someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable in a busy hospital Ability to work independently while also being a team player Good communication skills and a positive attitude We're a busy, multi-department hospital, and teamwork is a big part of what we do.
