We are an AAHA-accredited, privately owned general practice that sees dogs, cats, birds and other exotic pets. In fact, about 50% of our patients are "exotic." We are seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our team and become part of our dynamic practice. Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Oversee basic preventive care appointments
  • Triage urgent care patients and assist veterinarian in sick patient workup and treatment
  • Run in-house diagnostics and prep samples for referral laboratories
  • Patient sample collection, venipuncture
  • Dental cleaning
  • Radiology
  • Coordinate prescription refills
  • Surgical/anesthesia monitoring
  • Client education and communication
  • Clerical/operations (general administrative duties like answering phones, receiving packages, emailing medical records and general housekeeping)
Requirements:
  • Degree in veterinary technology (or equivalent) (certification preferred but not required)
  • Veterinary experience (2 years minimum)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Actively engaged in learning new skills
  • Able to learn software systems (including electronic medical records systems)
  • Ability to handle and work in a busy environment
  • Interest in exotics is a must, experience with exotics is a plus!

$23.00
