Job Description

Job Overview Join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! you will support veterinarians in delivering comprehensive medical services, assist with surgical procedures, and ensure the comfort and safety of our animal patients. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, ensuring all protocols are followed with precision. Perform laboratory work including blood draws, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests to support accurate diagnoses. Handle animal restraint safely and effectively using proper techniques to minimize stress and injury. Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, radiology diagnostics tools, and anesthesia monitors with confidence. Administer medications, vaccinations, and fluids via IV insertion or other routes, maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Monitor animals under anesthesia during surgical procedures, ensuring their vital signs remain stable throughout. Support emergency medicine efforts by providing critical care for animals in urgent situations and assisting with intensive care procedures. Requirements Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy to effectively communicate and perform tasks. Experience with veterinary critical care, anesthesia monitoring, and laboratory procedures is highly desirable. Skilled in dog handling, animal restraint, IV insertion, and vascular access to ensure safe patient management. Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment scheduling. Ability to perform diagnostic radiology procedures including X-ray imaging accurately. Excellent client communication skills to educate pet owners about treatments and care plans.
Pay:
$22.00 - $29.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
