Advanced surgical caseload including soft tissue, emergency, and orthopedic procedures Dedicated surgical and anesthesia support Advanced imaging including CT, ultrasound, & endoscopy Fear Free-focused patient care Exotic Animal Sedation and anesthesia Collaborative environment with experienced veterinarians and technicians Opportunities to work with exotic and non-traditional companion animals Strong commitment to continuing education and professional growth Modern equipment and updated facilities A leadership team that genuinely values work-life balance Deliver Exceptional Surgical Care Prepare patients for surgery, including catheter placement, diagnostics, patient assessment, and surgical preparation Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia for a variety of procedures Continuously monitor anesthetized patients using advanced monitoring equipment Assist veterinarians during soft tissue, orthopedic, emergency, and specialty procedures Maintain accurate anesthesia and treatment records Ensure proper sterilization, maintenance, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment Be a Patient Advocate Monitor patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures Recognize and respond to anesthetic changes and emergencies Support high standards of pain management and patient care Collaborate with an Outstanding Team Work closely with surgeons, urgent care clinicians, and advanced imaging personnel Mentor and support fellow team members when appropriate Contribute to a positive, solution-oriented hospital culture Educate and Communicate Help clients understand surgical procedures, treatment plans, and post-operative care Provide compassionate support to pet owners throughout their pet's surgical journey Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience Strong anesthesia monitoring and patient care skills Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service Preferred Qualifications Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program CVT, LVT, or RVT credentialed technician Previous surgical or anesthesia experience Fear Friendly Certification RECOVER BLS and ALS Certification Experience with advanced monitoring equipment Interest in specialty medicine and advanced procedures
Compensation:
Base hourly rate of $27 to $30/hour
