Job Description

Elm Point Animal Hospital is seeking to hire a motivated and friendly Veterinary Technician to join our team at our 5 doctor small animal hospital located at Saint Charles, Missouri! We want you to use what you've learned over your time in the profession and help you to continue to grow! Elm Point is not only a full service Veterinary Hospital; we also offer urgent care services, comfort-focused boarding, and grooming. BUT! We look forward to adding YOU to our team! Weekend availability required. We appreciate flexibility, but are committed to maintaining our technicians' work/life balance. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Obtaining vital signs
  • Animal restraint with patient safety/comfort as the top priority
  • Performing in-house and send-out diagnostics
  • Taking radiographs
  • Venipuncture/catheterization of dogs, cats, and some pocket pets/exotics
  • Filling and administering medications
  • Performing drug calculations
  • Performing life saving measures and CPR
  • Monitoring anesthesia and helping with surgery (routine and emergency)
  • Excellent patient care for our post operative, hospitalized, and critical patients
  • Keeping detailed and concise patient records
  • Educating and communicating with clients
  • Best practices with cleaning, PPE, and safety Must be comfortable in a high-volume hospital setting and adaptable to the unpredictability of veterinary medicine.
Also, must be dedicated to fostering a healthy work environment where all employees are elevated, empowered and enjoy what they do. Schedule consists of five 8-hour shifts per week.

$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
