Job Description

Company DescriptionAnimal Medical Center is a well-established, progressive, fast-paced, three doctor companion animal practice in Hernando, Mississippi, with an additional location in neighboring Senatobia, Mississippi. We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including preventative care, surgery, dentistry, reproductive procedures, in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, and ultrasonography, in a clean, newly remodeled location.

Part-time position averaging 22-29 hours per weekTo learn more about us click here. Job DescriptionJob duties include, but are not limited to: Greet clients and patients and provide friendly, compassionate service.

Answer calls and emails, address client concerns, and schedule appointments.

Check clients in/out and process payments.

Provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding pets, including feeding, walking, bathing, and medicating.

Monitor and document patient health, behavior, and medications.

Clean kennels, treatment areas, equipment, and surgical instruments.

Assist the veterinary team with restraint, exams, and post-operative care.

Restock supplies and help maintain a clean, safe hospital environment.

Comfortably work around animal waste, unpleasant odors/noises, and potential bites or scratches.

We're looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and enjoys a fast-paced, team-oriented veterinary environment. Training and career development opportunities are available!

QualificationsWe're looking for:

Veterinary experience of at least 1yr required.

Compassionate, calm, organized, and a strong communicator.

Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Basic computer skills and willingness to learn.

Weekend availability required.

Comfortable safely handling and restraining dogs and cats of all sizes.

Able to stand, walk, lift, and handle pets, food, and supplies.

Willingness to learn cleaning, medication, and basic patient care.

Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Eager to learn and grow your veterinary knowledge and skills.
