Company DescriptionBedford Pet Urgent Care is located within Bedford Veterinary Medical Center- a state of the art, multi-doctor hospital that offers personal, progressive, and comprehensive animal care to dogs, cats, and pocket pets in the Southern New Hampshire area. We practice the highest quality medicine while providing our pets and clients with the utmost care and compassion. Our hospital offers many services including annual wellness care, anesthesia and sedation, dentistry, internal medicine, laser therapy, in-house pharmacy, surgery, urgent/immediate care, and acupuncture. Join our dedicated urgent care team as a Veterinary Technician, where you'll play a critical role in patient care, client communication, and life-saving support.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Veterinary Technician in our urgent care setting, your duties will include (but are not limited to):



Safely restrain animals using low-stress handling techniquesTriage and assess incoming patients to prioritize careCollect and analyze laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin, etc.)Perform diagnostic imaging and accurately capture radiographsAdminister medications and treatments as prescribedMonitor anesthesia and assist with surgical prep, procedures, and recoveryProvide high-quality nursing care to stable and critical patientsAccurately document patient histories and interpret medical recordsCommunicate treatment plans clearly and compassionately to clientsQualificationsWe're looking for:



Minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician experience (required)Flexibility to work rotating weekends (required)Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a collaborative attitudeExcellent communication and customer service skillsSolid understanding of preventative care, hospital workflow, and surgical proceduresCompetence in sample collection, lab test processing, radiograph positioning, and anesthetic monitoringThe ability to accept and act on constructive feedback to support hospital efficiencyA self-starter mentality with a commitment to continued learning and professional developmentAdditional InformationWe offer our staff:
