Veterinary Technician skilled in:

Patient Care & Treatment:

.Assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including exams, diagnostics and treatment procedures. .Monitor, manage and care for hospitalized patients. .Administer medications, fluids and injections as directed by veterinarian. .Perform basic lab tests i.e. fecal floats, urinalysis, ear cytologies preparing samples for external lab as well as in-house testing. .Triage emergency and critical care cases efficiently and effectively. .Provide quality care that meets the physical, psychological, and environmental needs of the patient.

Diagnostic Imaging & Laboratory:

.Perform diagnostic imaging, including positioning, taking and processing high-qualilty radiographs...including dental...while adhering to safety protocols. .Collect and process blood, urine, tissue and other samples. .Operate and maintain in-house laboratory equipment.

Client Communication & Education:

.Communicate with clients regarding patient status, discharge instructions, medication administration, and general pet care. .Provide compassionate support especially during sensitive situations. .Accurately and thoroughly document all client communication in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Hospital Maintenance & Safety:

.Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital, including treatment areas, surgical suite, and patient wards. .Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment. .Ensure all controlled substances are handled, logged, and secured in compliance with established protocols. .Adhere strictly to all OSHA, safety, and hospital polocies.

Job Types:

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
