$20 - $28 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday through Thursday, 8 am - 6 pm, with no weekends!

Primary Pet Care is looking for a skilled, confident, and fun Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our small-but-mighty team! A small, close-knit team where everyone knows and supports one another A doctor who trusts, values, and actually utilizes her technicians The opportunity to use the skills you worked hard to learn A varied caseload including wellness, sick visits, surgery, technician appointments, dentistry, and urgent care Digital radiography and dental radiography A brand-new dental machine FAST scan ultrasound In-house laboratory equipment A fully stocked snack area in the break room—because snacks matter A team that celebrates the little wins and the big ones A workplace where you can work hard, laugh, and enjoy the people around you A genuine commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance What Our Veterinary Technicians Do Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to patients Assist with wellness, sick, and urgent care appointments Perform technician appointments and communicate clearly with clients Obtain patient histories and communicate relevant information to the veterinarian Safely handle and restrain patients using compassionate, low-stress techniques Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, sample collection, and laboratory procedures Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Perform and assist with digital radiographs Assist with dental procedures and dental radiography Support surgical procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery Utilize in-house laboratory equipment and assist with diagnostic testing Assist with FAST scan ultrasound procedures as appropriate Monitor hospitalized and recovering patients and communicate changes or concerns promptly Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Educate clients about medications, preventive care, treatments, and their pet's ongoing healthcare needs Keep treatment areas, exam rooms, equipment, and supplies clean, organized, and ready for whatever the day brings Work closely with the veterinarian and your teammates to keep patient care and hospital flow running smoothly What You'll Bring Current veterinary technician licensure At least two years of veterinary technician experience preferred Confidence in your technical and patient care skills Strong venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory, and patient-handling skills Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical patient care Strong client education and communication skills The ability to work efficiently in a busy veterinary environment without sacrificing patient care Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills A collaborative, team-first attitude The confidence to work independently while knowing when to ask for help A genuine passion for veterinary medicine and excellent patient care A sense of humor—we work hard around here, but we definitely don't believe that means we can't have fun doing it Benefits You Can't Beat Financial Benefits A flexible approach to compensation that reflects your skill set and future performance 401(k) matching & Roth Retirement Savings Plan Flexible Spending Account (full-time only) 529 Savings Plan Tuition Support Program (full-time only) Referral bonus program Wellness Benefits Health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision (full-time only) Supplemental insurance, including accident, critical illness, hospital, short- and long-term disability, legal plan, and employee, spouse, and child-dependent life insurance (full-time only) Up to three weeks of full pay for the birth or adoption of a child (full-time employees only; available after one year of service).
