We are looking for a certified/licensed veterinary technician to join our practice. This position you must be licensed for or eligible for license in Oregon or has extensive experience. We are an ophthalmology only specialty clinic. (Detailed Job Description Below) Our clinic is located in the heart of Southern Oregon, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and vineyards. The Role The level of responsibility and technical work will be tailored to the candidate's skills and experience. In all cases, the role centers on supporting our veterinarians, caring for patients, and ensuring clients feel informed and supported. Core Responsibilities Provide professional, compassionate client communication including check-in, patient updates, and discharge Restrain and assist in handling patients, including team-lifts when needed Enter patient charges, medical notes, lab results, and communications into clinic software Support hospitalized patients with timely care and monitoring Maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced specialty environment Expanded Technical Responsibilities Assist with surgical procedures, including instrument prep and maintenance Calculate and administer medications as directed by DVMs Perform laboratory testing and equipment quality control Place IV catheters; obtain blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples Perform injections (SQ, IM, IV) Induce, maintain, and recover patients under anesthesia Support routine equipment troubleshooting and maintenance What We're Looking For Veterinary Technician candidates: Certified/licensed (or license-eligible or very experienced) in Oregon. Experience in specialty practice or ophthalmology is a plus.
