Monarch Veterinary Hospital LLC

Certified Veterinary Technician

Job Description

Monarch is an early-stage veterinary hospital building its clinical team from the ground up. We're looking for Certified Veterinary Technicians who wants a real hand in shaping how a hospital runs — not just executing an established playbook. What You'll Do Perform patient triage, physical assessments, and vital sign monitoring Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians Place IV catheters, monitor anesthesia, and assist in surgical procedures Run in-house diagnostics (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, imaging) Maintain accurate, timely patient records Educate pet owners on treatment plans, home care, and preventive health Work within established clinical protocols while helping build out new ones as the hospital grows — this isn't a blank slate, but it isn't fully set either What You Bring Current CVT certification (or equivalent state credential) Comfort working in an evolving clinical environment Strong technical skills across anesthesia, dental, and diagnostic procedures Clear communication with both clinical staff and pet owners A self-starter mindset — comfortable with ambiguity and change The attitude that if you want to grow we will work together to get you there Why Monarch Joining a startup hospital means your voice shapes how things get done here, from case flow to team culture. Our mission is to provide the level of care that strengthens the Human-Animal Bond from the day they come home until they fly over the Rainbow Bridge. Success in Year One By the one-year mark, you'll be actively using the majority of the skills you trained for in technician school — not letting them atrophy on routine tasks. You'll have taken on education and training for any new hires that join the team. And you'll be contributing to the hospital's growth by leaning into what you're genuinely passionate about as a technician — whether that's dentistry, nutrition, hospice care, or obesity management — and advocating for it directly with clients.
