Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-5:00 PMCompetitive salary based on experience and skill level Job DescriptionWhat You'll DoAs a Surgery Technician, you'll play a key role in preparing, monitoring, and caring for patients throughout the surgical process.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing patients for surgery and providing post-operative careAssisting veterinarians with surgical proceduresMonitoring anesthesia and patient vital signs throughout proceduresSafely handling and restraining patients using low-stress techniquesCollecting and processing laboratory samplesPositioning patients and obtaining diagnostic radiographsAdministering medications and treatmentsProviding nursing care to hospitalized patientsCompleting accurate surgical notes and medical recordsReviewing patient histories and communicating important information to the veterinary teamCommunicating treatment plans and continued-care instructions with clientsWorking collaboratively with veterinarians and the hospital team to provide exceptional patient careQualificationsWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, confident, and team-oriented.
You'll be a great fit if you have:2+ years of experience as a Surgery TechnicianStrong hands-on experience with anesthesia monitoringProficiency assisting with surgical proceduresKnowledge of pre-operative, surgical, and post-operative patient careExperience collecting and processing laboratory samplesExperience positioning patients and obtaining radiographsStrong patient-handling and low-stress restraint skillsExcellent attention to detail and accurate recordkeepingExceptional communication and client-service skillsA positive attitude and strong work ethicThe ability to work independently while also being a strong team playerA desire to continue learning and developing your technical skillsThe ability to receive and apply constructive feedbackAdditional InformationWe offer our staff:
