Job Description

Veterinary Technician Veterinary Assistant Okatie Veterinary Center located in Okatie, South Carolina is a one doctor practice actively looking for an experienced veterinary technician/assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate must have several years of experience working in a vet clinic and can confidently work independently. This candidate is confident in performing blood draws, working up rooms, taking history, embraces client education, and is confident in their skill set. If you are an experience veterinary technician/assistant looking for a new clinic to share your skill set with then we are interested in hearing from you. Qualifications Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a must Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred - or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements. Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required. ​ Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
