Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians in providing comprehensive medical services, perform diagnostic procedures, and ensure the comfort and safety of our animal patients. Your expertise in animal handling, laboratory work, and veterinary techniques will help us maintain the highest standards of pet health and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to improving animal lives every day. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing animals and equipment. Monitoring patients during anesthesia Perform animal restraint and handling using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, including sample collection and processing Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Operate diagnostic equipment including X-ray machines, ensuring correct positioning. Assisting with Dental cleaning, scaling. Handle diverse species including dogs, cats, horses, goats, cows, pigs (large animal experience preferred), applying animal husbandry practices to promote health. IV catheterization placement Maintain detailed medical records, update treatment plans, and communicate effectively with pet owners about care instructions. Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working as a veterinary technician
  • Proficient in animal restraint techniques for various species
  • Experience in providing animal care
  • Knowledge of large animal care and handling is a plus
  • Ability to perform animal catheterization and administer fluids as needed
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique in surgical settings
  • Experience in maintaining animal husbandry practices for cleanliness and disease prevention
