Job Description

Veterinary Technician - Dr. Missy's Vet Mobile Dr. Missy's Vet Mobile is looking for an experienced, dependable Veterinary Technician to join our team in the New Braunfels area. We are a small, mobile veterinary practice that provides personalized veterinary care directly in our clients' homes. This is not a traditional veterinary clinic, and we are looking for someone who enjoys a different type of work environment. The right person will have veterinary technician experience, be dependable, comfortable working directly with clients, and be able to work as part of a small team where everyone plays an important role. Previous veterinary technician experience is required. This position is not intended for entry-level or newly trained veterinary technicians.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with veterinary appointments and patient care Preparing for and assisting with surgeries Vaccinations and routine veterinary procedures Blood draws and laboratory work Medication refills and pharmacy requests Setting up appointments by phone, email, and patient portal Communicating with clients and answering questions about their pets Preparing, stocking, cleaning, and maintaining the mobile veterinary unit Helping keep appointments organized and running on schedule Providing excellent care and customer service to our patients and their owners Driving the Vet Mobile Driving the Vet Mobile is an essential responsibility of this position. The Veterinary Technician will be responsible for safely driving our mobile veterinary vehicle to and from scheduled appointments throughout the New Braunfels area.
The successful candidate must:
Be comfortable driving a large mobile veterinary vehicle Have a clean and acceptable driving record Possess a valid driver's license Be comfortable navigating local roads and residential neighborhoods Safely operate the vehicle and assist with setting up and securing the mobile clinic at each location Because we are a mobile practice, driving is not an occasional responsibility—it is an important part of the job. What We Are Looking For We are especially interested in someone who: Has previous veterinary technician experience Is confident handling dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments Can work independently and stay organized Is dependable and punctual Communicates well with clients and coworkers Has a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed Takes pride in providing high-quality patient care Enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets Can safely and confidently drive the Vet Mobile Understands the importance of keeping a busy schedule moving efficiently Teamwork is extremely important in our practice. We are a small team, so everyone needs to be willing to jump in and help wherever needed. Our goal is to provide excellent veterinary care while building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets.
Pay:
$50,000 per year , depending on experience and qualifications.
