VCASeguin Animal Hospital in Seguin, TX is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our one-of-a-kind 2-doctor GP practice! Our hospital has been serving the Seguin community for over 30 years. The town is centrally located to many Texas cities, including San Antonio (35 minutes away), Austin (50 minutes away), New Braunfels (25 minutes away), and San Marcos (35 minutes away). The candidate must be dependable, organized, friendly, outgoing, "people oriented", flexible schedule, with excellent communication skills. Previous experience or training/education working in a veterinary facility is preferred. Telephone and computer skills are necessary. As a member of the VCA team, your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so they will partner with us for the lifelong care of their companion animals.

Physical requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions. This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8 hour day. Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, and give information in person and over the telephone. Job duties include but are not limited to: Getting history from owners Getting TPR from patients Entering records into computer Calling clients for doctors Assisting other technicians Keeping a clean work environment Working as a team Helping with client education Venipuncture catheter placement radiology patient assessment laboratory work pharmacy patient recovery compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
