Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

•Urgent Care 2241 Valor Dr, Winchester VA Pet Urgent Care is a brand new veterinary urgent care hospital seeking a skilled, compassionate full time or part time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a new practice while providing exceptional care to pets and their families.

Mon/Thurs/Fri

•2pm-10pm Tues/Wed

•Closed Sat/Sun-10am-10pm

About You:

You thrive in organized chaos and stay calm under pressure You enjoy a variety of cases from routine and basic, to complex emergencies You love to pivot between administering medications to hospitalized patients, placing IV catheters, discharging pets back to their owners, monitoring anesthesia, and more! You enjoy being part of a collaborative team with varying experience, personalities, and backgrounds You are available evenings and weekends

Responsibilities:

Perform patient assessments and assist with triage and examinations Obtain patient histories and communicate findings to veterinarians Place IV catheters, collect samples, and perform laboratory testing Administer medications and treatments as directed Position patients and obtain radiographs Monitor hospitalized patients and assist with procedures Maintain accurate medical records and support client communication

Qualifications:

Current Virginia Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license or ability to obtain Strong technical and patient care skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Compassionate, dependable, and motivated Ability to stand and kneel for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 50lb Ezyvet experience is a plus! Weekend availability is required

Compensation:

$30

•35/hour, depending on experience
