Snapshot of the
Role:
As an Emergency team member, you will support the Emergency doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Our Emergency and Critical Care Technicians thrive in a fast-paced service, handle critical case, and enjoy the stimulating caseload. Our Technicians have the opportunity to sharpen and advance their technical skills every day. Triage and prioritize incoming emergency cases Coordinate ER flow by assigning clinicians and ensuring timely patient care Provide high-quality nursing care and monitor critically ill or injured patients Place IV catheters, perform diagnostic testing, and administer treatments Assist in and monitor anesthesia for emergency procedures; manage patient recovery Support clinicians during exams, procedures, and diagnostic imaging (radiographs, labs) Communicate clearly with clients about patient status and discharge instructions Maintain accurate medical records, enter charges, and complete treatment sheets Collaborate with CSRs and team members to ensure a smooth client experience Maintain cleanliness, follow infection control protocols, and ensure proper patient restraint Participate in continuing education and ongoing professional development About VCA At VCA, we're passionate about delivering world-class veterinary care while supporting the people who make it possible. Schedule :
Part-time opportunity, Day/1st shift every other weekend.
Compensation:
