https://www.calopps.org/foster-city/job-20774052 The City of Foster City is seeking an experienced Code Enforcement Officer II to join the Community Development Department! This journey‑level position performs a full range of technical office and field work related to public education and enforcement of City codes and ordinances and assists in processing and presenting related notices, reports and public hearing documents. Employees in this classification operate with a high level of independence and may provide technical and functional guidance to lower-level staff. Education and Experience Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: : AA degree from an accredited college; BA degree desirable. :

Two years of responsible experience performing duties comparable to those of a Code Enforcement Officer I in the City of Foster City. Licenses, Certificates, Registration ICBO certificate highly desirable. Basic Peace Officer training certificate desirable. Special Requirements Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, reach, twist, climb, and lift 25 pounds; exposure to cold, heat, outdoors, confining work space, electrical hazards, vibration, chemicals, dust and mechanical hazards.
