Job Description

KSP BioScript LLC is seeking a dependable and professional Occupational Health Medical Examiner to join our growing clinical and occupational health team. This is a flexible, appointment-based opportunity for a qualified healthcare provider interested in performing DOT/CDL, pre-employment, and occupational physical examinations in an outpatient clinic setting. The selected provider will perform physical examinations, review medical histories, assess examination findings, complete required documentation, and determine examination outcomes within their professional scope of practice. DOT Certification Current FMCSA Medical Examiner certification is preferred but is NOT required at the time of application. KSP BioScript is willing to pay for FMCSA Medical Examiner certification for the right qualified candidate who is eligible to become certified and is willing to complete the required training, examination, and registration process. The provider must successfully obtain all required FMCSA credentials before independently performing DOT/CDL medical examinations. Responsibilities The provider will be responsible for: Performing DOT/CDL physical examinations once FMCSA certification requirements are met Performing pre-employment physical examinations Performing occupational health physical examinations Reviewing patient medical histories and health questionnaires Conducting appropriate physical assessments within the provider's professional scope Reviewing vital signs and other examination findings Determining whether individuals meet applicable medical qualification standards Completing required examination forms and documentation Completing DOT Medical Examination Reports and certifications when applicable Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential patient records Following
HIPAA, KSP
BioScript policies, and applicable regulatory requirements Maintaining required professional licenses and certifications Providing a professional and positive patient experience Communicating appropriately with KSP BioScript staff regarding examination status, documentation, and follow-up requirements Qualifications Candidates must hold an active professional license, certification, or registration that legally permits them to perform physical examinations within their scope of practice.
Qualified candidates may include:
Nurse Practitioners (NP/APRN) Physician Assistants (PA) Physicians (MD/DO) Doctors of Chiropractic (DC) Other appropriately licensed healthcare professionals who meet applicable requirements FMCSA Certified Medical Examiners are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates who are not currently FMCSA certified must be eligible and willing to obtain certification. KSP BioScript is willing to cover the cost of FMCSA Medical Examiner certification for an approved candidate. Preferred Experience Occupational health DOT/CDL examinations Pre-employment physicals Employer health screenings Commercial driver health examinations Outpatient or independent clinical practice Previous DOT examination experience is preferred but not required for an otherwise qualified provider willing to complete FMCSA certification. Schedule Flexible / Appointment-Based The provider will work with KSP BioScript to establish mutually agreeable availability. We anticipate initially scheduling examinations approximately 1-2 days per week , based on patient volume and provider availability. Appointments will be grouped whenever possible to make efficient use of the provider's time. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional seeking supplemental income and flexible clinical work without committing to a traditional full-time schedule. Compensation $50-$65 per completed examination, depending on examination type and provider credentials. KSP BioScript provides the clinic location, examination space, patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity for an NP/APRN, PA, physician, chiropractor, or other qualified healthcare professional who wants to add occupational health services to their experience while maintaining flexibility in their existing schedule.
