The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is Florida's largest state agency and is the third largest correctional agency in the United States. We currently are looking for highly motivated individuals that meet our values which are respect, integrity, courage, selfless service, and compassion. With no experience necessary, FDC will pay for required training including first aid, firearms, and defensive tactics to name a few. You will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the activities of the inmates in living, recreation, dining and visitation areas. You will be coordinating and monitoring inmate movements, conducting counts, and providing emergency response as needed.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • 18 years' old
  • United States Citizen
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • No Felony Convictions
  • PAY Correctional Officer $22 hour
