Description The Indiana County Jail is hiring Full Time Correctional Officers. Correctional Officers maintain security and inmate accountability in order to prevent disturbances, assaults, or escapes in a county correctional facility on an assigned shift. Work responsibilities include, but are not limited to; overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been convicted of a crime and are sentenced to serve time in a jail or a state correctional facility. Supervision is provided in a housing unit, a work location, and in the performance of general tasks required, as well as direct involvement with inmate and official visitors.
