Part-Time Corrections Officer - Elk County Prison The County of Elk is hiring entry-level, part-time Corrections Officers to join our dedicated team at the Elk County Prison in Ridgway, PA. This is a bargaining unit position with a starting wage of $18.45/hour, plus shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure safety and security of inmates, staff, and the public Enforce rules and regulations Prevent escapes and maintain inmate discipline Escort inmates to court, appointments, and other facilities Operate and inspect security systems Supervise inmate visitation and report violations

Requirements:

Valid Driver's License Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays (24/7 coverage required) Must be free of criminal history (background checks conducted) Strong commitment to safety and professionalism Must be at least 18 years old Must pass drug test
