Job Description

Juvenile Supervision Officer/Senior Juvenile Supervision Officer
REPORTS TO
Shift Supervisor Duties:
  • Supervise and monitor the activities of juvenile offenders in a correctional facility
  • Maintain order and discipline among the residents
  • Conduct regular security checks and inspections of the facility
  • Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents
  • Provide counseling and guidance to residents to promote positive behavior
  • Assist in the implementation of educational and vocational programs for residents
  • Document incidents, write reports, and maintain accurate records of resident activities
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Physical fitness and stamina to handle physical confrontations if necessary
  • Knowledge of juvenile justice system and rehabilitation principles is a plus
  • Juvenile Supervision Officer starting pay is $20.00
  • Senior Juvenile Supervisor Officer starting pay is $21.00
  • (Applicants must have six months experience working with at-risk youth in a secure or non-secure treatment/detention facility.)
  • Applicants may be reviewed on an individual basis for relevant experience and education considerations.
Note:
This position requires working with juvenile offenders in a secure facility. It is important to have a genuine interest in helping young individuals turn their lives around.

$45,760.00
