This is a full-time, on-site contract position, working 1:1 with a pediatric student in a supportive and collaborative educational setting. Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors Degree (B.A.) required Current state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) is mandatory Previous experience in a 1:1 pediatric setting is highly desirable Ability to tailor instructional methods for students with visual impairments to maximize learning, independence, and engagement Strong communication skills to coordinate with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams Willingness to remain on-site for the duration of the assignment

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide individualized instruction and support for a student with visual impairments, addressing unique educational needs and goals Develop and adapt curriculum, materials, and assessments for accessibility and appropriateness Implement assistive technology and tactile tools to optimize student learning experiences Regularly track, document, and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, therapists, and service providers to ensure comprehensive support Foster a positive, inclusive, and empowering classroom atmosphere that promotes student growth and confidence
