Court Reporter - Federal Contract (VA Hearings & Depositions) MA Global Houston, TX Job Details Part-time | Contract $40 - $60 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Stenography transcription method Certified Court Reporter Performing background checks Digital voice recorder for court reporting Full Job Description seeking a qualified Court Reporter to support a federal contract providing court reporting services for the Department of Veterans Affairs across VISN 16 (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi). This is on-call work covering administrative hearings and depositions, with both on-site and virtual attendance. Responsibilities Provide accurate stenographic or digital recording of
AIB, MSPB, EEOC
hearings, and depositions Attend proceedings on-site at VA facilities or virtually as assigned Deliver clean, complete recordings/notes to support timely transcript production Maintain strict confidentiality of all case and personnel information Requirements Active state court reporter certification (CSR/CCR) or NCRA certification (RPR) preferred Prior experience reporting administrative hearings or legal depositions Ability to pass a federal background check, including fingerprinting (Special Agreement Check) Reliable, professional, and comfortable working independently Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S., residing in the
United States Pay:
$40-$50/hour, W-2, based on experience and certification
Schedule:
As-needed based on hearing/deposition schedule; advance notice provided when possible
Pay:
$40.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 40.0 per week

Do you have prior experience reporting administrative hearings (e.g., EEOC, MSPB, AIB) or legal depositions? If so, how many years? Are you able to report on-site in the Houston, TX area, and/or attend proceedings virtually as needed? What is your minimum acceptable hourly rate for this role?
