Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as an ASL Paraprofessional working with students in a dynamic educational setting. Qualifications:
One of the following is required: Associate's degree or higher OR At least 48 college semester hours (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional agency) and a completed paraeducator course from Stedi.org with a score of 70% or higher OR Pediatric or school-based experience with children who have hearing loss
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language (ASL) Willingness to complete district credentialing, fingerprinting, and background check Reliable, professional, and adaptable for on-site work
Responsibilities:
Provide consistent ASL support and classroom assistance to students Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to ensure student needs are met Foster student engagement and independence in a classroom setting Support daily instructional activities, adapting as caseload needs are determined Uphold school district policies and maintain confidentiality Assist with communication and social development for students with hearing loss This rewarding position runs from ASAP through late May 2027, offering a stable full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
