DEPARTMENT

: Tribal Court

JOB SUMMARY

The Tribal Court Intake Specialist I will greet all Tribal Court clients and visitors. Accept and record filing fees, civil infractions and have the ability to understand court orders, check court dates for clients, attorneys and judges. Accept and process new civil petitions, and criminal complaint filings. Preserve and protect Court historical records that will be easily accessible by the public and parties. Perform non-judicial functions necessary for the operation of the Tribal Court, under the directions of the Court Clerk's Office Manager and work effectively with Judges.

COMPENSATION

$23.25 hr.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED equivalent .

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE

Two (2) years of experience in customer service. Two (2) years of cash handling experience. One (1) year of experience working in an office environment One (1) year of experience working with confidential information. One (1) year of experience answering phones. Six (6) months of experience in data base entry and management Six (6) months of computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.

SKILLS TESTING

Typing- 30 WPM

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES

Must be a WA State commissioned Notary Public.

•will allow six (6) months to obtain. Must adhere to The Tulalip Tribal Court Ethics - Code of Conduct Court Employees Policy Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
