This position plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and positive school environment where students feel connected, respected, and supported. More than supervision, this role is about building positive relationships with students, promoting respectful behavior, encouraging inclusion, and helping create an enjoyable lunch and recess experience for everyone. Essential Responsibilities Provide active supervision of students during lunch and recess. Build positive relationships with students through respectful interactions and encouragement. Promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all students feel they belong. Reinforce school expectations and protocols consistently while encouraging positive student behavior. Help students resolve minor conflicts using calm, respectful, and restorative approaches. Maintain awareness of student safety and respond appropriately to accidents, injuries, or emergencies. Communicate concerns regarding student behavior, safety, or well-being to administrators or appropriate staff. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to supervise groups of students effectively. Commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment. Take initiative while remaining flexible.
