Key Responsibilities Lunchroom Supervision:
Help create a positive, organized environment in the cafeteria while students enjoy their lunch and socialize with peers; Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules to maintain a respectful and orderly environment
Playground & Recess Monitoring:
Keep an active eye on outdoor or indoor playground activities, encouraging positive play, inclusion, and safety.
Student Guidance:
Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging atmosphere for all children; Manage conflicts and resolve issues in a calm and constructive manner, fostering a positive atmosphere
Communication:
Communicate and partner effectively with building administration, students, and school staff regarding student behavior and any relevant issues Attend training sessions and staff meetings as necessary to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position Other duties as assigned Qualifications Passion for
Youth:
Patient, engaging, and enthusiastic about supporting elementary or middle school children.
Reliability:
Dependable daily attendance during school operating hours.
Safety First:
Ability to pass a mandatory fingerprinting and background security clearance.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in child development, education, or related fields is a plus
Previous Experience :
working with children in an educational or caregiving setting preferred
Communication Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to children and their families.
HOURS :
2 hours per day/ 10 per week
