We're seeking a dynamic Stormwater Plans Specialist to join our team and play a key role in our plan submittals process. This position is responsible for developing and submitting WPCPs, SWPPPs, and related environmental compliance plans, coordinating with clients, and supporting permit compliance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of California stormwater regulations, permit compliance, and environmental planning, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and submit WPCPs, SWPPPs, amendments, and other regulatory plans.
Manage plan submittals and serve as a primary point of contact for client communications throughout the project lifecycle.
Support permit compliance activities, including SMARTS entries and submittals for NOIs, COIs, Annual Reports, Ad Hoc Reports, and NOTs.
Review project plans, specifications, permit requirements, risk assessments, and supporting documentation.
Serve as a subject matter expert on California General Permit requirements and environmental compliance regulations.
Evaluate environmentally sensitive projects, including dewatering systems, diversion plans, spill prevention plans, and hazardous materials requirements.
Coordinate project transitions between estimating, submittals, inspection, and invoicing teams.
Maintain project schedules, tracking systems, quality control processes, and internal reporting tools.
Research and develop specialized plans and compliance solutions to meet client and agency requirements.
Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with additional duties as assigned.
QualificationsHigh school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
One of the following:3+ years of construction stormwater inspection experience plus a related bachelor's degree, or7+ years of stormwater management and construction experience in lieu of a degree.
Thorough understanding of the California Construction General Permit and environmental compliance requirements.
Experience managing permit compliance activities through SMARTS, including NOIs, COIs, Annual Reports, Ad Hoc Reports, and NOTs.
