Firefighter EMT / Fire Prevention Safety Officer - Position Overview Overview Join our dynamic team as a Firefighter EMT / Fire Prevention Safety Officer , where your expertise plays a critical role in protecting our facilities, personnel, and assets. This position offers the opportunity to lead fire‑prevention initiatives, conduct high‑level inspections, and support system designs that strengthen overall safety and security. You will ensure regulatory compliance, respond to fire alarms and medical emergencies, on a quick attack engine . regular 24 hr shifts 14-16 shifts per month $4100-5200 per month DOE and shifts worked 512 202 8047 for information Required Certifications wildland fire S190-S130 and additional certs Firefighter I or wildfire urban interface certs EMT Certification Strong knowledge of wildfire‑hardening practices (position is located in a high‑fire‑danger region) Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive construction and facility inspections to ensure compliance with fire codes, life‑safety standards, and building regulations. conduct of Inspections of fire‑prevention systems, including fire sprinklers fire hydrants fire extinguishers and fire alarm system testing. Perform routine safety audits and risk assessments, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions and abatements Collaborate with construction teams during new builds and renovations to integrate fire‑safety measures into system design. Provide training and guidance to staff on fire‑prevention practices, emergency response procedures, and alarm system operation. respond with fire engine to all emergency medical or fire calls Required Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of wildfire building‑hardening strategies, defensible‑space planning, and evacuation processes. Experience in building inspection with emphasis on fire‑safety compliance. Proficiency in fire sprinkler system design, alarm system configuration, and related life‑safety technologies. Ability to accurately assess risks and develop effective fire‑prevention solutions. Excellent communication skills for staff training, construction coordination, and interaction with emergency responders. Familiarity with NFPA 101, fire alarm standards, and applicable fire and construction codes. Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
