PART-TIME EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT INSPECTOR
Santa Clara County, California Hiring Immediately Approximately 40 Hours Per Month | Flexible Monthly Schedule Work Hours Between 8:00 AM-3:30 PM

We are hiring an experienced, highly detail-oriented professional to perform scheduled inspections of AEDs and other emergency equipment at client locations throughout Santa Clara County. This is a specialized part-time field position averaging approximately 40 hours per MONTH — not per week. Our inspectors work independently at client locations and are responsible not only for inspecting equipment, but also for maintaining accurate inspection records, managing client data within our software system, and producing professional inspection reports. Accuracy, attention to detail, strong computer skills, and sound judgment are essential for this position. Experience with AEDs, emergency equipment, safety/compliance inspections, quality control, medical equipment, or comparable detail-oriented field work is strongly preferred. Certified CPR/AED Instructors are a plus.
SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY
This position does not have a fixed weekly schedule. Schedules are provided monthly in advance based on client inspection requirements. Work is scheduled between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM , and candidates must have flexibility within these hours. The specific days and number of hours worked may vary from week to week, averaging approximately 40 hours per month . Please apply only if this flexible monthly schedule works with your availability.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform scheduled inspections of client AEDs and other emergency equipment
  • Verify equipment condition, supplies, expiration dates, and readiness status
  • Identify and accurately document deficiencies requiring attention
  • Follow established inspection procedures consistently and thoroughly
  • Enter and update inspection information at the time of inspection using company data-management software
  • Review inspection data for accuracy and completeness before finalizing
  • Produce clear, accurate, and professional inspection reports
  • Maintain organized and complete client inspection records
  • Manage multiple client records accurately without overlooking or confusing information
  • Communicate professionally with clients while on-site
  • Assist with client deliveries as needed
  • Assist with inventory and general office duties
  • Answer phones and provide office support when scheduled
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Professional experience in equipment inspection, safety/compliance, quality control, field service, healthcare, medical equipment, or another detail-intensive professional environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong computer and data-management skills
  • Ability to learn and confidently navigate company inspection software
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to produce accurate, professional reports
  • Ability to recognize discrepancies and determine when an issue requires further attention
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures consistently
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Professional, dependable, punctual, and accountable for the quality of your work

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The technical aspects of our specific inspection process can be taught to the right professional. What is essential is the ability to learn quickly, follow procedures, recognize discrepancies, manage data accurately, and consistently produce high-quality inspection documentation. Because our clients depend on this equipment in an emergency, accuracy and attention to detail are not optional.
