Immigration Law Compensation:
$77,000 - $113,000 annually, commensurate with experience Rivera Gainza, P.A. , a West Palm Beach law firm with an established immigration practice, is seeking a motivated and professional Associate Attorney to join our team. This position is ideal for an attorney who is interested in developing or expanding a career in immigration law and gaining meaningful experience representing clients in matters before the Immigration Courts and other immigration agencies. Responsibilities The Associate Attorney will handle a variety of immigration matters, with a particular focus on Immigration Court proceedings.
Responsibilities may include:
Representing clients in removal and other Immigration Court proceedings Preparing for and appearing at Master Calendar and Individual Hearings Conducting client consultations and case preparation Preparing motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other written submissions Performing legal research and analysis Developing case strategies and preparing clients and witnesses for hearings Managing an active caseload and maintaining appropriate deadlines Communicating professionally and compassionately with clients from diverse backgrounds Working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff Qualifications Candidates should possess: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Active license to practice law and good standing in at least one U.S. state or jurisdiction Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills Excellent organizational and case-management abilities Professional judgment and strong interpersonal and client-communication skills Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Approximately two or more years of immigration law experience , particularly involving Immigration Court proceedings Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish Prior courtroom, removal-defense, or immigration litigation experience Compensation & Benefits Rivera Gainza, P.A. offers a competitive compensation package with a salary starting in the area of $100,000+ per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications .
