Compensation:

$90,000

• $230,000 yearly

DOE Responsibilities:

Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs, with precision and diligence. Ensure litigation processes by preparing for trials, depositions, and hearings. Ensure every client receives a legal update every 21 days, at a minimum, from your legal team. Ensure that you meet and enter all billable hours into the case management system concurrently. Respond to client and case-related phone calls and emails within twenty-four (24) business hours. Ensure that each client has funds in trust before performing extensive work, and if not, inform Accounting to request a replenishment immediately. Attend mandatory Scrum meetings weekly. Strategize, execute, and complete assigned cases, and ensure all active cases have required tasks entered into the case management system with assigned due dates before the weekly Scrum meetings. Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients to reach favorable settlements. Manage the caseload so all cases are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Review drafts from paralegals and provide comments within 24-48 hours to allow them to complete their tasks. Finally, your participation in marketing efforts for the Firm, such as networking opportunities and presentations, may be required.

Qualifications:

3 to 5 years of experience in civil litigation in family law. Eligible to Practice Law in Florida. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license and in good standing with the Florida State Bar. Superior research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think strategically. Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities. Empathetic communicator with a client-first mindset. Familiarity with Florida state court rules and procedures. Bilingual (Spanish) required.
