Job Summary The Alaska Court Service Officer (CSO) is a sworn peace officer within the Division of Alaska State Troopers, Department of Public Safety, Judicial Services Bureau. CSOs have general arrest authority and are responsible for enforcing laws related to their core duties. Serving in an armed capacity, they work under the direction and supervision of Alaska State Troopers acting as Judicial Services Supervisors. Most CSO duties are carried out in and around Alaska's court facilities. All CSOs complete a dedicated six‑week training academy, held alongside the biannual Alaska Law Enforcement Training program in Sitka, Alaska. What You Will Be Doing Prisoner Transport Court Security Process Service Effecting Evictions Fugitive Extraditions Who We Are Looking For

•Current resident or willingness to relocate and work in Juneau, Alaska

•18 years of age or older at the start of the academy. U.S. citizen with a high school diploma or GED. Proficient in written and spoken English. Possess a valid driver's license with a clean record. Strong decision-making skills. Commitment to integrity and community service. No felony convictions. No domestic violence convictions. No marijuana use within the past year.
