Must be authorized to work in the United States Join Our Team as a Certified Safe School Officer We are seeking experienced and highly qualified FDLE-certified law enforcement officers to join our team as Certified Safe School Officers. This position is ideal for active, retired, or former law enforcement professionals who are passionate about protecting students, staff, and the school community while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. As a Certified Safe School Officer, you will play a critical role in campus safety, emergency preparedness, incident prevention, and building strong relationships within the school community. Key Responsibilities Monitor and enforce school safety and security protocols. Maintain a visible security presence throughout the campus. Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, threats, and critical incidents. Help prevent and resolve conflicts. Build positive relationships with students, staff, administrators, and law enforcement agencies. Conduct safety drills, emergency preparedness activities, and training sessions. Prepare accurate incident reports and official documentation. Support school policies and procedures related to campus safety. Remain prepared to respond to active threats and other emergency situations. Requirements FDLE Certification (Required) FDLE-certified officers may be eligible to complete a one-day certification session through a Florida Sheriff's Office, subject to applicable requirements and approval. Experience Minimum of 3 years of combined experience in one or more of the following areas: Law Enforcement School Security Armed Security Corrections Military Service Emergency Response Education High school diploma or GED required. Additional training or education in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, military service, or emergency management is preferred. Required Skills Strong knowledge of law enforcement and public safety procedures. Experience in emergency response and crisis management. Advanced firearms proficiency and tactical training. Strong conflict resolution and deescalation skills. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports. Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving abilities. Ability to build professional relationships with students and school personnel. Additional Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must pass a background check. Must successfully complete a drug screening in accordance with applicable requirements. Must pass required psychological evaluations. Must be able to work onsite. Must be able to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors. Must meet all applicable state, local, and school safety requirements. Preferred Equipment Requirements Candidates may be required to own or have access to standard duty equipment, including: Firearm, when required for the position. Level III retention holster/duty belt. Magazines and additional required duty gear.
