Job Description

The City of Burnsville is seeking to fill the position of Police Officer, your service to our community is a vital part of creating a Burnsville that is a vibrant city, boldly leading and welcoming to all. Position Details Position Details:

This position will be:
Providing rescue help and emergency first aid treatment. Answering questions, providing directions and prompt assistance to the community. Deter and detect unlawful activities by effective police work. Gather evidence, question victims, suspects and witnesses, and follow up on related leads. Responding to calls for assistance, investigating complaints, and maintaining order in disputes. Directing traffic, reporting hazardous conditions, and enforcing ordinances. This role works rotating shifts
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree by the date of hire, Minnesota Peace Officer License eligible by hire date and valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License. Local government experience preferred.
