FULL-TIME PATROL OFFICER POSITIONS STARTING SALARY
$40,000 PER YEAR The Lakeport Police Department is seeking qualified, motivated, and community-minded individuals to join our law enforcement team as Full-Time Patrol Officers.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Patrol assigned areas of the City of Lakeport. Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Enforce federal, state, and local laws and ordinances. Conduct criminal investigations and prepare detailed reports. Make arrests and perform other lawful law-enforcement duties. Provide assistance to citizens and respond professionally to community concerns. Appear in court and provide testimony when required. Participate in department training and maintain required certifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet applicable State of Texas and TCOLE requirements for appointment as a Peace Officer, including applicable requirements concerning: Texas Peace Officer licensing/certification eligibility. Minimum education requirements. Valid Texas driver's license or eligibility to obtain one. Criminal-history and statutory eligibility requirements. Firearms eligibility. Required background investigation and personal history statement. Fingerprinting and required records checks. Medical, psychological, and drug-screening requirements. Completion of all required TCOLE licensing and appointment requirements. Current Texas Peace Officer certification is preferred.
