2996439670-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Global Medical Response seeks a Legal Counsel, Insured Litigation to manage complex claims and litigation matters involving its nationwide medical transportation and emergency response operations. This role handles insured and self-insured claims, drafts and reviews pleadings, manages discovery, and collaborates with outside counsel to drive effective defense strategies. The attorney will advise internal stakeholders on risk, compliance, and dispute resolution, support contract and policy interpretation, and ensure alignment with healthcare, insurance, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Manage insured and self-insured litigation and claims for GMR's operations Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents Oversee discovery, including document production and depositions Direct and collaborate with outside counsel on case strategy and budgets Advise internal stakeholders on litigation risk, exposure, and resolution options Interpret contracts, policies, and insurance coverage related to disputes Ensure compliance with healthcare, insurance, and regulatory requirements Support settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution initiatives Prepare reports and presentations on case status and trends for leadership Required Skills Civil litigation Legal research and writing Insurance defense Healthcare law Case strategy and evaluation Deposition practice Trial preparation Negotiation and settlement Regulatory compliance Risk management
