Job Description

Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
Draft legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
Represent clients in court and litigate cases
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
Collaborate with colleagues on complex legal matters
Stay informed about current laws and regulations

Requirements:

Admission to the state bar association
One year of prior experience practicing as an attorney in NYS
Strong knowledge of legal research tools, such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
