Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
• Draft legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
• Represent clients in court and litigate cases
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex legal matters
• Stay informed about current laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Admission to the state bar association
• One year of prior experience practicing as an attorney in NYS
• Strong knowledge of legal research tools, such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
