This is a unique position with an extremely flexible schedule . There is no set weekly schedule — you will have the freedom to choose when you work and can generally come in and leave based on what works best for you. We are looking for someone who can work approximately 15-20 hours per week . The main scheduling requirement is that your hours are varied so that your presence is unpredictable. Some shifts should be during the morning or afternoon, while others should be during evenings and weekends. Responsibilities Monitor the sales floor for shoplifting, theft, fraud, and suspicious activity Observe customers and activity throughout the store Monitor and review store surveillance cameras as needed Help identify patterns of theft or repeat offenders Document incidents and communicate concerns with store management Complete civil demand paperwork and documentation related to criminal charges , when appropriate Assist management with loss-prevention investigations when necessary Help deter theft through a discreet presence in the store Maintain confidentiality and use good judgment when handling sensitive situations Work with store management and law enforcement when appropriate What We're Looking For Dependable, trustworthy, and observant Strong attention to detail Comfortable working independently Good judgment and communication skills Ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations Previous loss prevention, asset protection, retail security, law enforcement, military, or security experience is a plus, but not necessarily required Must be willing to vary working hours throughout the week Schedule This position offers exceptional flexibility . You will generally be able to: Choose the days you want to work Choose the times you want to work Adjust your schedule from week to week Work approximately 15-20 hours per week We simply ask that your hours are mixed up rather than following the exact same schedule every week. For example, you may work a morning one day, an evening another day, and different days from week to week.
