We are seeking an Experienced Probate & Trust Administration Paralegal to join our team. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and has substantial experience administering California decedents' estates through probate and trust administration. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, compassionate with clients, and able to independently manage files while working closely with the attorney. Our clients are often navigating the loss of a loved one or other significant life transitions. We pride ourselves on providing knowledgeable legal guidance with professionalism, responsiveness, and compassion. We are looking for someone who shares those values and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. Responsibilities Assist with all phases of California probate administration from commencement through final distribution. Assist with all aspects of California trust administration, including preparation of notices, inventories, deeds, transfer documents, funding and distribution documents, and related correspondence. Prepare petitions, Judicial Council forms, pleadings, and other probate court filings. Communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, title companies, accountants, and court personnel. Coordinate the collection, valuation, transfer, and distribution of estate and trust assets. Monitor deadlines, maintain case files, and ensure matters progress efficiently. Work directly with the attorney to provide high-quality legal services and exceptional client care. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: At least ten years of experience handling California probate and trust administration matters. The ability to independently manage files with attorney supervision. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software. Experience with California conservatorships is highly desirable but not required.
