Job Description

Full-Time Litigation Paralegal - Boutique San Mateo Law Firm (On-Site) Our litigation team is seeking a skilled, experienced paralegal to serve as a key pillar of support throughout the litigation process. The right candidate will help manage every stage of a case — before, during, and after trial — including discovery, document preparation, and legal research.
Key Responsibilities:
Support attorneys throughout litigation, including trial prep, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions Prepare and review legal filings such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests Perform legal research via LexisNexis and similar platforms to support case strategy Maintain and organize case files and discovery documentation Compile and summarize discovery materials, pleadings, motions, witness files, and trial exhibits Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and collecting needed information Liaise with opposing counsel, court personnel, and outside parties to keep cases moving on schedule Log and manage billable hours
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience at a law firm Paralegal certificate or degree from an accredited institution (required) Strong writing, research, and organizational abilities Solid command of Microsoft Office Excellent computer skills Detail-oriented with strong initiative and time management Comfortable juggling multiple cases independently in a fast-paced setting Strong interpersonal and client service skills
