The Zakrocki Law Firm is a growing estate planning and elder law firm in St. Augustine. We are looking for a warm, polished, and dependable professional to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a consistent, predictable 12-hour-per-week schedule with no evenings or weekends. For the right person, there may be an opportunity for additional hours and responsibilities as the firm continues to grow. The Role You will be an important part of the client experience in our office. During your hours, you will often be the first person clients speak with on the phone and the first person they meet when they arrive. You will also play a key role in estate-planning document-signing appointments, including assisting with the signing process and notarizing documents. Legal experience is helpful but not required. Experience in a professional office, medical office, financial services, real estate, hospitality, or another client-facing environment may also be a good fit. Responsibilities
Greet clients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
Answer incoming calls and take accurate, detailed messages.
Assist with estate-planning document-signing appointments.
Prepare signing materials and conference rooms.
Serve as a witness when appropriate.
Notarize documents.
Scan, copy, organize, and process completed documents.
Provide other light administrative and office support as needed. What We Are Looking For
Warm and professional communication skills.
Dependability and punctuality.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent phone and in-person client service skills.
Comfort using computers and learning new software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Comfort working with older adults, families, and clients who may be dealing with stressful or emotional circumstances.
Notary Requirement A current Florida notary commission is strongly preferred, and preference will be given to qualified candidates who are already commissioned Florida notaries. Candidates who are not currently commissioned must be willing and eligible to obtain a Florida notary commission within 60 days of hire. The firm will pay all costs associated with obtaining the commission and will assist with the application process. Schedule and Compensation
$20-$23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
To Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief introduction that answers the following: 1. Why does this particular part-time schedule interest you? 2. What experience do you have working directly with clients, customers, patients, or the public? 3. Are you currently a commissioned Florida notary? If so, when does your commission expire?
NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
We review applications promptly and will contact selected candidates to schedule an interview.
