Description We are looking for a highly organized Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation team. This permanent, on-site position plays an important role in keeping matters organized, court deadlines on track, and attorneys prepared for each stage of the litigation process. The ideal candidate brings strong law firm experience, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage both legal and administrative work with accuracy and care.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, revise, and proofread pleadings, correspondence, and other litigation documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper formatting.
Maintain organized case files and discovery materials so attorneys can access critical information efficiently throughout each matter.
Coordinate electronic and court-related filings, including service of documents, while monitoring filing requirements and deadlines.
Manage attorney calendars by scheduling hearings, depositions, meetings, and other case-related commitments.
Track key litigation dates and follow up proactively to help the team meet court deadlines and internal priorities.
Support day-to-day case administration by organizing client records, drafting routine communications, and handling document distribution.
Serve as a reliable point of contact with courts, clients, and opposing counsel regarding scheduling, filings, and general case logistics.
Work closely with attorneys and internal staff to promote smooth case progression and high-quality client service. Requirements
At least 5 years of litigation support experience within a law firm environment.
Demonstrated ability to prepare, edit, and file legal documents such as pleadings and related court submissions.
Hands-on experience with civil litigation procedures, including e-filing and court filing coordination.
Strong calendaring and deadline management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities accurately.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with strong attention to detail and organization.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and apply sound judgment in a focused work setting.
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in litigation matters; legal studies training or a related credential is preferred.
