The Law Office of Maricé Morales is a solo office specialized on immigration, personal injury, criminal and traffic cases. We are currently seeking the right applicant to join our team as a Immigration Paralegal.
Responsibilities:
Manage immigration litigation docket through ECAS, electronic filings, draft motions: bond, change of venue, virtual appearance, draft pleadings, all EOIR forms, help lead attorney draft briefs. Oversee immigration litigation junior paralegal or legal assistant perform EOIR related filings, proofread, delegate to meet demanding deadlines, draft sworn statements, Asylum, Witholding & CAT, 42B cancellation, Adjustment of Status packets for EOIR Oversee and manage a caseload involving family
based petitions , waivers ( I
601A , I
212),asylum , U-visas, T-visas, VAWA , TPS , removal defense , adjustment of status ,
and naturalization Draft and review immigration forms, affidavits, cover letters, and support documentation Conduct legal research and assist in preparing filings for EOIR, USCIS, and DOS Communicate with clients to collect information, provide case updates, and ensure timely completion of casework Monitor deadlines and track case progress through internal systems and government portals Collaborate closely with attorneys to ensure accuracy and quality of work Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration law, policy updates, and filing procedures
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years ofexperienceasanimmigrationparalegal Strong tech skills , experience with ECAS&Webex Strong knowledge of
USCIS , EOIR
, andconsularprocessingprocedures Experience with pleadings, motions, and brief writing in support of Asylum, Witholding & CAT, humanitarian relief and waivers (I-601A, I-212, etc.) is highly desirable Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Fluency in Spanish is mandatory
must be able to communicate with clients in both English and Spanish Strongattention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple priorities Leadership experience or team coordination strongly preferred Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred
