Entry-Level Court Assistant - Part-Time The Chase Law Firm, P.C. | $20/hour The Chase Law Firm is seeking two dependable, confident individuals for entry-level, part-time court positions. Prior legal experience is not required, but familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, or the legal field is a strong plus. We will provide training, and much of the role is learned through hands-on experience. This position primarily involves attending court independently, communicating with tenants, discussing and documenting payment arrangements, handling basic calculations, and assisting with high-volume court dockets under the direction of our legal team.
Requirements:
Monday-Friday availability, with Tuesday-Thursday availability especially important Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned court appearances Strong basic math skills and attention to detail Strong communication and people skills Comfortable speaking with tenants and other members of the public Able to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-stress environment Comfortable dealing with upset, confrontational, or occasionally rude individuals without becoming rattled Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Professional courtroom appearance and attire — business/business-casual dress is required; jeans are not appropriate Willingness to learn court procedures and take direction Prior legal knowledge or experience is not required, but is highly beneficial This is a strong entry-level opportunity for someone interested in the legal field who is comfortable learning by doing. You do not need to know the court process when you start—we will teach you—but you do need confidence, common sense, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to handle pressure.
